Low Maintenance, Built To Last

Composite decking that doesn't ask for maintenance.

No sanding, no staining, no annual treatment. Composite decking costs more up front than timber, but it earns that back in the weekends you're not spending on it — just a clean, modern deck that looks the same in ten years as it does on day one.

It's also a genuinely good fit for a British garden. English weather is damp far more often than it's dry, and that's exactly the environment where timber decking starts to green, warp and need attention. Composite simply shrugs it off.

  • ✓No sanding, staining or oiling — ever
  • ✓Won't rot, splinter or warp
  • ✓Slip-resistant, family & pet friendly
  • ✓Built to outlast timber by decades
  • ✓Stone Grey, Graphite & Golden Teak boards
  • ✓Solid subframe — no give, no bounce
Boards & Finishes

Colours and styles we install.

We can bring sample boards to your quote so you can see the finish against your own house and garden before you commit.

Stone Grey

Our most popular colour — a cool, contemporary grey that suits modern rear gardens and works with almost any brickwork.

Graphite & Charcoal

A deep, near-black tone for a bold, high-contrast look — especially striking against lighter stone, gravel or planting.

Golden Teak

A warmer, timber-toned composite for gardens that want the natural decking look without the natural decking maintenance.

Dual-Tone & Multi-Tonal Boards

Boards blended with subtle variation in tone, closer to the natural grain variation you'd get in real timber.

Grooved Reversible Boards

Two usable faces — a grooved side for extra grip, a smooth side for a cleaner look — so you can choose the finish, or flip it later.

Raised & Split-Level Decking

Composite decking built up on a subframe to level out a sloped garden, or stepped down in stages for a multi-level layout.

Composite Or Timber?

An honest comparison, not just a sales pitch.

Both are good options — it depends what you're optimising for. We install both, so we've no reason to steer you toward the pricier one.

Choose Composite If…

You want zero ongoing maintenance, you're not keen on annual staining, your deck is near a hot tub or pool, or you'd rather pay more up front than spend weekends on upkeep every year.

Choose Timber If…

You want the warmest, most natural look and feel, you'd prefer a lower upfront cost, or you don't mind an annual oil or stain to keep it looking its best.

What Our Customers Say

“After a terrible winter, I searched for someone to quote me for a raised decking area for this summer. After three separate quotes, Mark was the only one who said a few things the other two never did.

So we chose him to make us a five-metre-square area for garden furniture and a BBQ to sit alongside our pond.

It's perfect and we're glad we added the gazebo over the top for our vine plants to grow over.

A big well done.”

“Brilliant service from start to finish. Mark turned up when he said he would, quote was clear, and the finished job looks spot on.

Left everything tidy too.”

“What impressed me was an immediate answer to my call with no automated voice giving me several options.

So thank you to Mark for showing up on time for an estimate and on time with his son with the supplies the following Monday, and for an excellent job done in one day.

Both Mark and his son worked well together and cleared away all debris and left our back garden clean and tidy.”

Composite Decking FAQs

Common questions about composite decking.

Anything else, just ask when you get in touch — happy to talk through the specifics of your garden.

Composite boards are made from a mix of recycled wood fibre and recycled plastic, capped with a protective outer shell. That's what gives them the look of timber without the rotting, splintering or warping that comes with real wood over time.

Like any dark surface, darker boards can feel warm underfoot on a hot day, though generally no worse than stone paving. Our grooved boards give extra grip when wet, which is the bigger concern in a British garden — most customers find it noticeably less slippery than algae-prone timber.

The most popular options are Stone Grey, Graphite/Charcoal and Golden Teak, along with dual-tone boards for a more natural, blended finish. We can bring sample boards along to your quote so you can see them against your house and garden.

Most residential composite decking projects take 2–5 days, depending on the size of the area, ground preparation needed and whether it's a raised or split-level design. We'll give you an accurate timeframe as part of your free quote.

It costs more upfront, but there's no annual staining or oiling, and no re-treating every couple of years. For a lot of our customers, especially those who travel a lot or simply don't want another job on the to-do list, it pays for itself in the maintenance they never have to do.

Yes, in most cases. We build a proper subframe to sit the boards on, which can usually go over an existing hard surface or be set into the ground on new footings. We'll check ground conditions and levels as part of your free site visit.

We're based in Medway and regularly install composite decking across Maidstone, Sittingbourne, Gravesend and the surrounding Kent villages. If you're just outside these areas, get in touch anyway — we may still be able to help.
